The Queens Head is a traditional village pub that has been recently refurbished. The pub is a free house currently run by Ed and Carlie.
The pub has music nights, including a regular folk night each month, as well as quiz nights and other events. The garden plays host to a number of BBQ’s and other events throughout the warmer months, and a large gathering is always in attendance for the annual firework evening.
The Queens Head does not have its own website, but it does have a Facebook page where you can keep up to date with all that is happening at the pub.
For over 35 years the pub was run by popular landlord Colin Edwynn. Colin retired at the end of 2017 when the pub was sold by Charles Wells. Sadly Colin passed away in October 2018 but he will be fondly remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
A pub (also known as the Three Horseshoes) has stood on the same site since at least 1795 although the present building dates from 1926. Please see the Local History section for further details.
