Parish Council Elections

Nomination to be a Parish Councillor

Are you interested in being a Parish Councillor and becoming more directly involved in your community? If so nomination papers are available from Lesley, the Parish Clerk. If you would like to know more about what is involved before committing yourself, please contact Lesley or any member of the Parish Council.

Nomination papers must be returned to Lesley by Thursday, April 2^nd, 2015

Local elections take place on Thursday, May 7^th, 2015. Central Bedfordshire Council must receive all nominations by Thursday, April 9^th, 2015.

Please read the following criteria before putting yourself forward:

1. You should be 18 or over

2. You should be a British citizen, a citizen of the Irish Republic, or a citizen of a member state of the European Union

3. You should be a local government elector of the Parish

OR

You should have occupied as tenant or owner any land or premises in the Parish during the past 12 months

OR

During the same period resided in that area or within three miles of the Parish

OR

During the same period had your principal or only place of work in that area.
