The Plough Inn
Tebworth Road, Wingfield, Bedfordshire. LU7 9QH.
The Plough is a pretty, thatched country pub with a lovely atmosphere, low ceilings, oak beams and an open fire. In the summer, the enclosed garden offers scenic views across open countryside. The building itself is approximately 350 years old and was once a coaching inn. As a Fullers public house there is the usual selection of excellent real ales, with London Pride, ESB and Gales HSB being the regulars, and normally there are one or two guest beer to sample as well. The pub has a great menu of home cooked food, mostly traditional classics, or a selection of chef’s specials displayed on the blackboard.
The pub hosts occasional special events such as beer festivals, gourmet food evenings, and a classic car event, as well as a number of regular events including quiz nights, crib, dominoes, and card nights.
