The Plough Inn
Tebworth Road, Wingfield, Bedfordshire. LU7 9QH.
The Plough is a pretty, thatched country pub with a lovely atmosphere, low ceilings, oak beams and an open fire. In the summer, the enclosed garden offers scenic views across open countryside. The building itself is approximately 350 years old and was once a coaching inn. As a Fullers public house there is the usual selection of excellent real ales, with London Pride and HSB being the regulars, and usually two guest beers as well. The pub has a great menu of home cooked food, mostly traditional classics, or a selection of chef’s specials displayed on the blackboard. There is a large car park opposite the pub.
The pub hosts occasional special events such as beer festivals, food evenings, and a classic car event, as well as a number of regular events including quiz nights, crib, dominoes, and card nights.
The pub is run by Dave and Stacey Wallis, who also have the Farmers Boy in Kensworth.
