A great day to be out of doors
It took a year to plan, but the Classic & Prestige Car Day held in Wingfield on 19th July was an outstanding success. This was the third year that the event has been held but the numbers of vehicles and visitors were the highest so far. As in the past, the event was organised by Ken Wright and Steve Junke and proceeds will be donated to Keech Hospice Care.
Accompanying the car event was a beer festival at the Plough, run by Chris and Caroline Ross in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK. With six real ales on offer, and with a beautifully sunny day, the grounds, front and back, were packed with thirsty punters.
Congratulations to everyone involved in organising and running these two events. Look out for the September edition of the Chalgrave News to read a fuller report and see more photos.
